Bulgarian Heavy Metal Fans Get Adrenaline Rush

on June 5, 2007 @ 18:15

The first supporting band was Bulgaria's AHAT. Zvezdi Keremidchiev and company played their own classics like 'The Axe', 'Souls On Fire' and not surprisingly finished their gig with their biggest ever hit 'The Black Sheep'.

Ahat were followed by LAUREN HARRIS, daughter of Maiden's bass player Steve Harris, who according to some, impressed the audience with her looks, rather than her music, but for others she brought some change in the expected style of the concert.

The real adrenaline rush hit the fans at 9 pm sharp when Bruce Dickinson, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers, Steve Harris and Nick McBrain appeared on stage to start their gig with songs from their latest album A Matter Of Life And Death. Maiden played 'Different World', 'These Colours Don't Run' and 'Brighter Than A Thousand Suns'.

These were followed by 'Wrathchild' and Bulgarian audience's favourite 'The Trooper'. After several other tracks from the latest album, there came another classics - 'The Number Of The Beast', 'Fear Of The Dark' and 'Run To The Hills'.

The closing song was of course Iron Maiden, when Eddie got out of his notorious tank. Bruce Dickinson, visible pleased from fans' reactions during the whole show shouted out from the stage "It was not you that waited for us all these 25 years. It was us who waited for you!".
