Flight 666 Tickets Available

on March 1, 2009 @ 12:41

Rod Smallwood has issued the following update:

"We have just opened the box offices of the digital cinemas showing Flight 666 in as many parts of the world as we are able. Don't worry if your country is not added yet as there are many more to come. These are the first eight countries to go on sale, if your country isn't shown yet - we hope it's coming soon. Leave your email address here and we'll mail you.

As Flight 666 is shot digitally in Hi Def, with a fantastic sound track mixed by Kevin Shirley, we thought our fans may wish to get the ultimate experience of seeing it on the big screen with incredible visual definition and a sound which makes you feel like you were there. l have seen it on the big screen in a cinema and believe me, it is some experience! This is the first time we have attempted to take Maiden into cinemas but feel Flight 666 is the perfect film to do this. We hope that this will be a truly global spread of cinemas and to my knowledge this has rarely, if ever, been attempted with a metal/rock film - but it's fun to try something a bit different!

We have no idea of what the cinema demand will be for a close-up experience of what it is like to be on tour with the band. So we have been a bit conservative by going for a one day showing everywhere on Tuesday, April 21 (although due to local reasons this may differ slightly in some places). All ticket prices should be the standard for digital cinema in all countries, i.e. relatively inexpensive. If demand is there we will attempt to arrange other showings in some selected cinemas so keep an eye on Ironmaiden.com. In some places like Sweden, the cinema chains elected to go with a full week run on all their screens. All the details are on the site (here)- when you enter just click on your country and you will get links to cinemas where you can book tickets. Please note that digital cinemas are apparently cutting edge and are more widely available in some countries than others.

Hopefully a lot of you will arrange to meet up with other fans before going to see it, making it a real community event and a great night out!! If you are able to go we hope you enjoy it.

Ps. We are dependent on local cinemas updating their sites, so if Flight 666 isn't available yet please keep checking back."
