After Bruce the singer and Bruce the pilot, hear our favorite singer in a special show about ...trains !?!

Channel 5 tonight (Monday Feb, 2)

"Ultimate Trains
20:00 - 21:00
A look at how the design of trains today focuses on making rail travel safer, faster and more futuristic. Train technology is currently making a comeback as public services are now more in the public eye. The programme looks at the latest in inter-city travel including the Canadian Jet train, the Japanese Bullet and, of course Eurostar which all travel at speeds in excess of 170 mph.

Here's the take of TimesOnline:

ULTIMATE TRAINS
Five, 8pm

Here’s one for trainspotters, speed freaks and those of us who just like to go “Wow!” The programme starts off with Amtrak’s Acela Express, which chugs between New York and Washington at a sedate 150mph. It speeds up with the Japanese Bullet Train (below) and France’s 320mph TGV. It gets even more exciting with trains that use magnetic levitation — one day they will be able to catapult Nasa space vehicles into the air at 1,000mph. But nothing can compare with the US Air Force’s HUP train, which has already reached 6,480mph. But it doesn ’t carry passengers yet. DC
