More Little Incidents ...In Japan This Time

on February 9, 2004 @ 19:21

According to various reports, Bruce seemed in pain again during the Tokyo show, on 02/08.
After 'Paschendale', the band paused to let Bruce's left leg rest a little and while the show finally went to the end, Bruce was moving very slowly from there. It could have been a sequel to the damage he got when he slipped on whipped-cream in LA a week ago.

On a lighter side, as it was the closing show of the DOD Tour, a lot a funny moments happened, as, for instance, when Janick got chased by crews during 'Run To The Hills'.
The Saitama gig was, according to Bruce, their biggest ever in Japan (16000+) and they clearly had a great time playing there, partially for Japan acknowledged the band very early in their career.

To add to this bootleg moments, let's add that at the Osaka show the previous night, Nicko's bass drum got broken during 'The Trooper' and while it was replaced, Bruce and Nicko started to perform 'William Tell' with Bruce taping on his cheeks !
Bruce also changed the 'Fear Of The Dark' lyrics to make fun of Nicko's nose.

To close on these japanese moments, check this link to see the special DOD T-shirt printed for Japan.

By the way, the artist of the Japan T-shirt is Herve Monjeaud, a French who already committed the unofficial Paris 09/09/99 special T-Shirt.

He also draw a 'Don Quixotte' Eddie for Spain, but Rod Smallwood refused to release it. Hope we might see it someday.

Cheers

It seems that's what matters most to Rod... Anyway, he has always been a control freak.
