Within Temptation to Open for Maiden in Paris
The website of Garance Productions, the organiser of the venue at the Parc des Princes on 25th June 2005, announces officially that the Dutch band Within Temptation will open for Iron Maiden on that day.As a second opening act is planned, rumours are still going on that Megadeth will be the other band to open for Iron Maiden. Nothing confirmed so far, though!

but that's obviously an EMI decision once again. Promoting the "newcomer"
The fans will keep chanting Maiden all the time anyway, but obviously the guys at EMI are morons. Oh well, good luck to Withered Creation...

nowadays are famous Marilyn Manson Sum 41, SLipknot (opener for Metalôlica in Parc Des Princes) etc etc
i dont like nu-metal or neo-punk but it would bring mopre people to the IM gigs

Damn, then there's a big chance they'll open in Holland too... I'm not usually a person for chanting or booing, but I'm going to be making an exception here. How nice... so before I finally get Maiden I'm going to have to listen to a woman in a big ugly dress screaming...

, not the last album but mother earth & enter are good albums for me, but obviusly if you don't like that "kind of metal" what we can do. Even I'm sure that we can't be agree with the maiden setlist...

Anyway, for the whiners who are never happy, I'd like to quote Nicko when they complain about the opening acts (or anything else for that matter): "too f'kin' bad!"
You'll see the other bands that Sanctuary have chosen as opening acts and you'll hear the songs that Maiden have decided to play. For the rest, well... stuff ya!

!! I wouldn't be cheering them only if would do it for a woman screaming out loud and a bunch of men running all around on stage !!I dont know why they chose them... BLAZE would be better... or even Sum41 or Fozzy (why not ?) but a "band" (if it can be called a band !) like Wth. Tem... just imagine them on stage...

I have no idea why all of you complain. I know that "stand my ground" and the last album is crap, but mother earth and enter are awesome albums, much better than the last two nightwish albums for example. I would be happy to have WT in Romania, even without Maiden. Or the other way round

No Maiden don´t need trendy bands to draw people - they sell out on their own throughout Europe. So why not have bands that most Maiden fans probably would enjoy?
I'm very glad for my fellow country man that they may open for Maiden, the more because they certainly have not deserved it. (but they are still better than FfaF)
I am happy if megadeth are suporting maiden but this other band are cr*p.

in my opinion its more exciting to see maiden playing with support bands playing different music styles.
so i can tell with a cler conscience that id like to see
nick cave or danzig or leningrad cowboys as an opening acts
It has been announced on a French radio that Motörhead will be the second opening band for Maiden in Paris. As there is still no official announcement anywhere else, please take this with a pinch of salt...
