Here's mortis' review:

Maiden's last concert in their Europe-tour finished a few minutes ago. As most of you probably know, the concert was live broadcasted on Swedish television (which we get on cable in Norway).

The gig was great! And of course even greater for those lucky enough to be there.. I watched it from my sofa with headphones (my 2-yar old son was trying to sleep) and a beer in my hand, and I'm breathtaken by the energy that this great band produces!!

They played the same set as they did in Oslo (and most of the other gigs in Europe) with songs from the four first albums only. There was no truth to the roumors that they would play a longer set.

The crowd was also great. Bruce called them "56000 fuckin' vikings in a football stadium"

Bruce announced that this would be the last time they would do many of these songs live - because Maiden had other plans for the future (the forthcoming studio album). He also announced (as he did in Oslo) that they will visit Sweden again next winter.

After Sanctuary Bruce asked the light-tech to turn on the audience lights, and he asked the crowd to raise their hands in the air. Then the whole band turned around facing the back of the stage, and one of the crew (probably) took a picture of the guys with the cheering 56 or 57000 in the background. Cool!

And yes, of course I taped the concert!

Setlist:

The Ides of March (TAPE)
Murders in the Rue Morgue
Another Life
Prowler
The Trooper
Remember Tomorrow
Where Eagles dare
Run to the Hills
Revelations
Wrathchild
Die With Your Boots On
Phantom of the Opera
The Number of the Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Iron Maiden
----
Running Free
Drifter
Sanctuary

Ross Halfin is rumored to have been in Sweden as well after participating in the Finland gig. He might be the one who has taken the picture for a possible future DVD, for instance.

nope, the ---- is just separating the main performance from the encore, so maiden did running free, drifter, and sanctuary as their encore.
