WORLD'S FIRST OFFICIAL MUSIC UMD FOR THE PSP

September 1st 2005 is not only the launch date for Sony's eagerly awaited PlayStation Portable (PSP) in Europe and Australia, but also sees Iron Maiden lead the charge for music audio visual on the new PSP format, UMD, with the release of their platinum selling title 'Rock In Rio'. A world's first for the PSP, Sanctuary Visual Entertainment is proud to bring premier rock band Iron Maiden to UMD at £14.99 RRP.

The band have always acknowledged the advances of new technology and haven't been afraid to embrace them. They are delighted to be part of the launch of Sony's new revolutionary gaming and media platform which promises to be this years hottest, 'must have' gadgets.

Bass player and founder member Steve Harris says, 'It's flattering to be asked to be one of the launch titles for the PSP. We've seen what it can do and it's an amazing piece of kit. The format is great for live concerts as well as films'.

Originally released in the UK on DVD back in June 2002, 'Rock In Rio' captured a seminal moment for Iron Maiden, as they delivered a stunning performance to their biggest ever audience , an incredible 250,000 strong, sell-out crowd and a global TV viewership of millions. From the first riff of the opening track 'The Wicker Man', through to the final chords of 'Run To The Hills', 'Rock In Rio' is an adrenaline pumping, furiously paced, rock extravaganza .

'Rock In Rio' on UMD brings fans the opportunity to enjoy a defining moment from one of rock's most influential bands from the front row in Rio irrespective of where you might be, on the beach or on the bus!!!

I'm not a fan of sony, and I see the PSP as a bunch of crock. There's a music album and there's a DVD. You want to spend a crapload of money to watch a video on a tiny screen, go right ahead. I love Iron Maiden to death, but this hasn't changed my opinion.

I'm still buying the DS instead. This "new technology" is bullshit.

You'll also have a hard time watching the show with the PSP's 3 hours battery life....

No one should just buy the PSP because RIR is released on it... If you have a TV and DVD player or a computer why not just buy the original DVD??????????????
