Right. So soon they'll release the single Flight Of Icarus... blink.gif

This is becoming ridiculous. My favourite band is turning into a self-parody and banks only on the past... huh.gif

Oh my god!!! Is this the worst editing job ever ?!?! Totally awful! Hey Steve, take a look at the Dream Theater Live At Budokan DVD, this is how editing should be made, period.

What a bullshit.... very crapy, it's sure that I will not buy it, like Rock And Rio... They begins to look like an american band that I will not name!

Prowler as a b side ? How boring.

With all the great material rarely played, they could only come with that idea.

I do agree with you Mav, this is becoming somewhat ridiculous.

I'm praying for the next album. Maiden is never better than when it defends new material !

Cheers

Oh God... is the editing is getting f*?!ing WORSE on every Harris DVD release or what ?

I'm so disappointed.

At least in Rock In Rio, the cameras seemed to be more professional. This really seems cheap. Not even in widescreen.

Bah.

Cheers

Whats wrong with just keeping the camera on one member of the band for more than 10 seconds?

yeah I was wondering that to.

Not 'only'. I am glad to know that we'll have a new quality-studio album next year.

How many 30 year old bands (with great past) can still do that?

Only Rush perhaps, though their latest release was less than average imo.

No one talks about sound here. It's a major improvement since we can hear H (middle) better now!!

Check also the higher melody he does (e.g. 1.25) (new compared with Rock in Rio, I think)

Excellent

Perhaps but after the Bruce rant about not being another one of those bands "on a fucking nostalgia trip" its slightly worrying that theyre doing this. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of playing only the first 4 albums on the tour - gives me a chance to hear songs live i've never heard before but the endless live dvd releases and single re-releases and album re-releases and compilation releases... just doesnt seem right

The great idea behind the editing is to correspond to the beat. I just couldn't watch to the end.
The rest is business. Beat the iron while it is hot.
A little too much for my taste.

Think about DIO, he had a new album (MotM) last year too, and he is in this business for more than 45 years from now! And he is still great, just like Maiden.

I think the single-/cliprelease is a bit ridiculous, and the editing is nog great, but the sound... WOW! Compared with RiR is sounds much better and even played better. I'm looking forward to Death on the Road. happy.gif

Actually, soon Dio will play live in Moscow: the whole debut album in order. A live dvd/album will come out from this concert.
Nostalgia all over the place. It's not much different. His last two album were not that good imo.

Or even two seconds, actually... I hope slower numbers such as "No More Lies" or "Journeyman" will get different (better) treatment. Otherwise this DVD could have been great.

I have seen the clip a couple of times now and I must conclude that Nicko gives a very good performance! The one-bassdrumpedal-wizard has returned. wink.gif
I particularly like the stuff during Dave's solo.

I love the drumsound! If this is only a preview, then the sound on the DVD must be fantastic!

Yeah, well, I've my doubts about that. I think it's cool, otherwise I'd like to see DIO playing new songs on his gig. That 'Holy Diver'-tour (An evening with Dio) I'll see 4 times in England in oktober.

You're right mate. The drumsound is very good on this DVD, and similar to the general sound !
