Well, the wheel of fortune certainly turned in her favour, that's for sure!
Excellent interview. Although J&N betrayed precious little of the more substantial particulars of the recording, it's more than enough to keep my hungered anticipation of the album ticking over.
I know this is rather a superficial factor, and I can't articulate why it perturbed me as much as it did - but to those of you who have viewed the extant photos of this article, was anyone a tad aghast when they set eyes upon the rapidly retreating hairline of Steve Harris?
I mean, we're all familiar with that most portentious of follicular archfiends; "The Comb-Over", but a "Comb-Forward" ?
It seems the writing/recording duration may not have been as facile as the band had implied, if the quota of hairloss during the period is anything to go by (Davey's thinning somewhat, too!)
Still, "Grass never grows on a busy street", as they say! - I'm sure those filaments didn't die in vain!
