I personally love this album, know it by heart and will therefore have an amazing evening for that show. But I'm a bit scared for those who have never heard the new album...

I love Iron Maiden and have waited twenty one years to see them. Now I have tickets to the October 18th show in Chicago. I will be bringing my sixteen year old son (he's also a fan). Although I do like the new album, I have to say I am very disappointed by the setlist they have chosen. People want the new music but also have favorites off every previous album. Please guys, change the setlist to accomodate this...PLEASE...

It's a bold move but not the best album for it. They should have done this with Seventh Son. And FOTD again? Yawn. At least show some imagination with the older 'bonus' tracks.

i think that this is a very good list because they mostly always play the same songs in their tours like run to the hills, the trooper, and all the other good classic songs but this will be my first time seeing them and i will be seing them in IRVINE CALIFORNIA on OCTOBER 21st and i am dissapointed because i wanted to hear the classic songs live but the whole NEW album is good enough i guess

Merciful Heavens!! I'm not sure if it would be a true Maiden concert without The Trooper, The Number of the Beast, or (though it is a tad bit overrated) Run to the Hills.

I can see those who haven't been to many shows and who like the older stuff complaining. However, this is a great album and it will be a special treat to hear it in its entirety live. The "classics" need a rest. And Fear of the Dark is overrated. Or maybe just overplayed. I'd sub it out with one of the upcoming cover songs ;)

Don't you Americans complain! My last Maiden gig was in '99 when B & A came back to crew and i have to say that i can't wait to see the gig in November 12,the setlist is awesome, this is how it should always go with theme albums!!!! -MaidenFIN-

like i said before this is a good setlist but they should take out FEAR OF THE DARK and put 2 songs that they never played live before, like FLASH OF THE BLADE and another one

Don't get me wrong, I love the new album just about as anything Maiden released in the 80's. But why not throw out Fear of the Dark for The Trooper? Sounds good to me.

Been a Maiden fan for 22 years and have seen 20 shows. I love the new album and I’m thrilled that they are playing it in its entirety. But they just can’t only play 5 other songs. Just saw Queensryce on 10-5-06 in LA. They played for 2 ½ hours. All they have to do is add 5 additional songs to the current setlist and everyone will be happy.

YES, i agree HOVOBODO , but the songs should be old songs that they have never played live before like flash of the blade, the prophecy, you know something like that, they shouldnt play run to the hills or the number of the beast live anymore i mean dont get me wrong here i love those songs but they played it like live almost all the time and now they want to do something new and i think its a great idea and dont worry when the second part of the early days comes out on dvd which is IRON MAIDEN THE GOLDEN YEARS there gonna have a THE GOLDEN YEARS TOUR just like they had a EARLY DAYS TOUR for the early days dvd which is a great idea. they did play the song IRON MAIDEN a lot but its still good and that is a good way to bring eddie out in the end so they should play IRON MAIDEN in their tours.
i think that iron maiden shouldve played for about 2 hours so they can play the whole album then let them rest and then play for 1 hour more and play about 2 songs from each of their albums now that would be a great show

you know someone wise once said you can't please all of the people all of the time. I personally think this is a brave move from the band, but one that should proove to be a great decision as this album is the best thing they have done in an age. Every tour we get the familiar cries to stop playing the same songs and when they finally go ahead and do something different we get cries of derision from people wanting to hear those same old songs. I believe they have made this decision due to the fact that the next tour will be a set list from POM to NPFTD and will contain some beauties! Enjoy this show, soak up the atmosphere of this cracking album and then get ready for the next instalment in 08/09.

Playing the entire new album is a bad idea.Bring Dianno on tour and play the entire Killers album. Most Maiden fans in US are not going to buy the new album. They bought tickets to the show hoping to hear songs off of the 1st 5 albums.
