Rock Machina Festival - Bruce Dickinson
Rock Machina - Moncofa, Spain July 26-27"Just one more to go! Although Bruce Dickinson was the definitive headliner, it was kind of lackluster, what with nothing but a best-of compilation to flog. Anyway, old Bruce Bruce played the hits, and then some, even including Skunkworks material. It was cuts from the last pair of solo discs which received the biggest response. 'Accident Of Birth' and 'Lovers In The Tower' bookended nicely. 'Tears Of The Dragon' slowed things down, but he couldn't refrain from a bit of late night/early morning silliness, telling the crowd, "Buy Valencia oranges. There are guys pressing gin in the groove." With no feasible ride home, I leapt at the one opportunity that presented itself, knowing full well that Mr. Dickinson's and my paths would meet again, in just a week's time."
