Di'Anno: "Clive hasn't received any of the money"
In a recent interview to Metalrules.com, Paul Di'Anno said that Clive Burr told him that he hasn't received any of the money raised for him yet:"I was asking Clive and they still haven't given him the money yet, so that's fuckin' bad man. That really pissed me off because that money was to give him extra money to get a new car and get it fixed up…you know when you are slightly disabled and stuff….but he doing really well, he really happy but I just wish Iron Maiden would pay him the fucking money. It took me two years for me to get my money from Iron Maiden as well."

I just finished reading the whole interview. Well, I think Paul was dope or drunk or whatever...or he's a fucking liar. 'Cause he said a lot of bullshits on that thing. About he's Brazilian grandfather?!!(never hear that before), about joining Sepultura(same), about "his" bar in Sao Paulo. That's lie 'cause the bar he mentioned is called Manifesto and it's not Paul's bar. and he just played there with 2 Sepultura's members in a couple of songs, not the entire band or full gig.. Probably this "Clive money" thing is bullshit too.

I just read that interview. Man, Paul sounds like a total moron. I like the first Maiden albums and am planning to see him in concert in June but after reading this article I'm not sure. ( He's sold 25-30 millions each years ??? ) B.S. Is he usually that way or was he a bit too much into the rum that day ?

Paul may be making a living of Maiden songs, and he is where he is thanks to Maiden, but do you really think that Maiden would be playing in front of sellout crowds everywhere if Di'anno had never been in the band? He was their vocalist in the first recordings, the first single, the first album and the first live material. Maybe Maiden wouldn't be where it is right now if it wasn't for Paul. They could be like all that other NWOBHM bands that never got of the ground.

Well he sings Maiden songs, and "CAN'T EARN ANY MONEY" if you talk about royalites, but without those songs he can't do a proper Tour. If he play just Dianno, Battlezone or Killers songs people don't go on his gigs. So he EARN the money with the tour.
Every interview, every tour, Maiden is a subject for Paul. On poster advertisement you always see "The Former Iron Maiden Singer"

Whether or not he "needs" maiden or doesn't
need them, I don't know, I like and respect the current and ex members, and Shaman is right, it's not worth arguing about. That's just my opinion. And whatever the deal is with Clive and his money, I don't know either. I just hope he gets it, if he hasn't already.
