Judas Priest/Iron Maiden Tour Rumors Are False

on September 18, 2003 @ 13:02

JUDAS PRIEST Management Co-ordinator Jayne Andrews has rejected as false the report by Argentinian rock DJ Gustavo Olmedo of Rock & Pop 95.9 FM that PRIEST will tour South America with IRON MAIDEN in March/April.

The DJ made the announcement last week that the two bands will play a massive concert at the River Plate stadium in Buenos Aires (capacity: 80,000) and will also perform three shows in Brazil: at Sao Paulo's Pacaembu Stadium, Rio De Janeiro's Atl Hall, and Curitiba's Pedreira Paulo Leminsk.

Writing to JUDAS PRIEST's official web site, Andrews said, "I really don't know how many more times I have to keep telling everyone but here we go again....when WE confirm any tour dates WE will announce them FIRST!! There is NO truth at all in the rumour about JUDAS PRIEST playing any shows with IRON MAIDEN - we have not confirmed any dates yet!!!! The band are working on their new album and we will announce dates once everything is finalised but that won't be for a while!!! Wait until you hear it from us first then you'll know it's true!!!!"
