Maiden too old for MTV
At IRON MAIDEN's sold-out show at Globen in Stockholm, Sweden earlier tonight (November 14), singer Bruce Dickinson slammed MTV Europe for refusing to air the band's new video for the song "Rainmaker".
"I see a lot of faces here in the front who are not even half my age," Dickinson told the crowd. "That's great. We just got some bad news. Not that I care about MTV, but they told us that they won't show the 'Rainmaker' video because they say that our audience is too old for MTV." IRON MAIDEN's gig in Stockholm was the group's second since they were forced to cancel three shows on their European tour in order to allow Dickinson time to recover from a case of the flu and severe laryngitis.
Dickinson's voice was in excellent shape throughout the concert, and the "air-raid siren" — as Bruce is affectionately known — was able to reach all the high notes, according to several attendees.
MAIDEN's next gig will take place Saturday night (Nov. 15) at Scandinavium in Gothenburg, Sweden.

They dont deserve such great vid to be played in such ugly commercial "Music" channel.
Radio stations and tv channels that decided not to play any Maiden track are so stupid, cause they dont know how big are their losses. They will lose all the Maiden fans that listen to those radio stations/tv channels, cause those dumbasses said "Our audience is too old for MTV".
Well, "F" OFF!.
Im just sorry that my 2 only music channels are vh1 and mtv (then I wont be able to see the vids of WD and Rainmaker).
but at least Mtv Latinamerica has played wildest dreams (THE DVD version) and MuchMusic Latinamerica is playing the ´First reveal´version.
Maiden doesn´t need Mtv,
they didn´t need in the past, and they don´t need now,Maiden is superpopular to need of those stupids!!!
up the irons!!![/b][/size]
True words.
We dont need any channel to play a Maiden video clip, I mean, I have al the metal that I love in my room and always listen to it. So there is no need in seeing your favourite heavy metal band in a 'kin pop music channel.

WELL YOU PROBABLY HAVE TO CHECK EL BLOKE THAT IS PLAYED DAYLY ON MTV,
THE MAIDEN VIDEOS ARE OBVIOUSLY LESS PLAYED,BUT THEY PLAY MAIDEN ON MTV,AND IN MUCHMUSIC ARGENTINA ALSO.
CHECK IT DUDE1
BTW, I WAS THERE!!!!!
Another thing "Scream for me Stockholm": Which songs did they play, and describe Eddie. You are probably wondring why I ask, but Maiden aren't coming to Norway .
Certainly MTV Brasil will play Rainmaker video
You know that "Making the video" from MTV, we have one of that for Rock in Rio "Run to the Hills" video. Pretty cool, a good interview with the boys.
VH1 doesnt plays any decent stuff anymore (they are maybe, less worse than mtv, but still an ugly channel).
They once played some metal, but now they hardly do.

Ok, we all agree mtv is pure shit, so let me tell you this weird thing that happened to me about 2-3 months ago:
I turned on the tv, put mtv, and there was Run to the Hills playing in mtv.
It was weird, but fun, cause that was the first time I saw one of Maiden's vids (pretty sad, ah? ).

TRUE METAL IN IN OUR HEART!!!

yeah, but all the same, don't you think it's great to see iron maiden on any form of music channel. At least it gets up the townies nose. I always find it satisfying to see an amazing band like Maiden on a crappy little pop channel. That will show em, eh?
