Wildest Dreams single details
24/07/2003 Wildest Dreams: The SingleIron Maiden release their new single ‘Wildest Dreams’ on 1st September taken from their forthcoming album ‘Dance of Death’
The single will be released in three limited edition formats, including what will be Maiden’s first ever DVD single release. The DVD will feature a spectacular fully animated video of ‘Wildest Dreams’ directed by Howard Greenhalgh (Muse, Soundgarden) with a full 5.1 Audio track.
Says Bruce Dickinson, ”Wildest Dreams is about living your life the way you want to live it. When we first heard that Howard was looking to do a fully animated video we were very excited as we were familiar with his previous work. We saw the first sketches and we knew right away that Howard had got the right feel for what the track needed, loads of energy and movement to complement the song. And we didn’t have to appear live in the video! When you first see it you think ‘Hell really looks cool’ then you look closer and then you think….’Actually maybe not!’.”
The singles also feature a new studio B Side ‘Pass the Jam’ and previously unreleased versions of Blood Brothers and The Nomad.
The three single formats are -
CD Single
1. Wildest Dreams
2. Pass The Jam
3. Blood Brothers (Orchestral Mix).
DVD Single
1. Wildest Dreams
(PROMO VIDEO - 5.1 and PCM stereo)
2. The Nomad (Rock Mix)
3. Blood Brother (Rock Mix)
7' Coloured Vinyl
A. Wildest Dreams
B. Pass The Jam
The album ‘Dance Of Death’ is released on 8th September.

Who cares about 'Rock Mix' or 'Orchestral Mix'? Well, not me, feck that. I think live version of old songs like the ones of the current tour will be more appreciated.

The point is let us hear/have good live version of old tunes with 3 guitars, like 22 Acacia Avenue, Heaven Can Wait, Revelations, Die With Your Boots On, The Clairvoyant and Bring Your Daughter to the Slaugther or stuff like Children of the Damned live Brixton Academy 2002, Out of the Silent Planet or Fallen Angel live Shepherd's Bush 2001
For me that's better than any 'shit mix'

get a soundboard bootleg then
They dont play any of the songs as well as they should be with 3 guitars so well have to get used to the fact theyve left janick in for stage presence only
I'm glad to see a few studio b-sides after all these years. Want live b-sides then get a bootleg. There are good audience recordings of the Shepherd's Bush shows where OOTSP & FA were played. Webcast soundboard version of Children in Brixton. And there's webcasts of the 2003 shows. You could easily pick them up from any current trader.

Well. I already have it, but i know there are lots of fans out there that don't know about those recordings and they will get pleased if they have it too. So a official release is much better than a bootleg. Anyway, no hard feelings people , just my opinion...
[quote=MaidenSweden,Aug 30 2003, 07:32 AM] Me too! Maiden are live!!!
