2005 Tourdates...

Posted by Tokus on November 6, 2004 @ 12:04

I found this list on some Dutch board, with someone claiming to have gotten it through email. Don't know if it's reliable though. It would mean Maiden would play Donington Park on a Wednesday, which would seem strange to me. You would think they'd play a gig like that on a weekend.

Also, concerning the Dutch date: it's 2 weeks after a metal festival that will be held in the exact same spot, where the Dynamo Open Air festival was in 2000 and 2004. This year it's called Fields Of Rock (just like in 2003), and Maiden isn't playing that festival. I dont think there will be 2 metal festivals in the exact same spot in 2 weeks, so that's why I'm a bit in doubt when it comes to this list.

Anyway, here's that list:

May 28th UK Sheperds Bush Empire London 29th UK Sheperds Bush Empire London June 1st Norway Stavanger Stadium 3rd Germany Rock am RIng 4th Germany Rock im Park 6th Poland Warsaw St. 8th Hungary Kisstadion, Budapest 9th Italy Arena Festa Dell' Unita, Reggio Emilia 11th Czech Rep. This list was posted by a member of another bulletin board and has been reported on various sites. Anyway this is not an official list, this is not a true list so don't take it seriously

well, I hope some of it is true... The concert in Switzerland is a perfect warm up for Bang Your Head!!!
Also, the warm-ups at Sheppards Bush Empire... GAH! I have to be there. To get tickets to that one will be impossible I guess.

Mostly if they don't play there!

May I remind everyone that **this list is unreliable**?

Yeah... just to humour myself I've drawn their route on the European map(not all lines pointing directly at the cities, only the ones I know of), and it just looks twisted, see for yourself(not sure if I can direct link images on this forum, but I won't do so anyway just in case there are any poor 56k'ers):

looks like a kind of twisted way.

Oooh, cool!!! Hope it will be something like that this time too. Special offer through the FC. I guess that's the biggest chance to get tickets.

Yeah, yeah... I know it's only a rumour but it makes work much more fun to just hope it will happen and imagine just how COOL it will be!

Well its probably crap but the order of the festivals doesnt REALLY matter does it? It depends on which festivals are being run and in what order. Obviously if Maiden stage their own arena show its different though

I've received this many times. It's fake and I know it for sure (I know the person who created it )

Now, it's plausible, for some dates could be realistic.

Nice picture dude, but Innsbruck isn't where you have drawn the line - it's more in the west of Austria - but that's a peanut!

Thanks for visualisation!

It's been stated already several times that **this list is NOT reliable** and does not reflect AT ALL the upcoming 2005 Maiden tour.

Those who are dumb enough not to pay attention to these warnings need not post any further inane comments: Thread closed!

A bit of explanation: The Saint already stated that the rumour was false, but that some dates might be plausible. As too many people seemed to think it was true and confirmed, we (me and Mav, but that's another story) decided that we would close it to avoid further confusion. The reason why it wasn't deleted is that it'll make a nice comparision to the actual tour schedule when it's all announced.

Cheers
