B L A Z E Disbands and Is Born Again

Maidenfans.com's sister network Blazefans.com confirms today that all remaining 'original' members of 3 L A Z E apart from Mr Bayley himself have now left the band.

John Slater and Steve Wray, unable to do the tour dates for the rest of the year, have both decided not to continue as full time members of the 3 L A Z E band.

Both Dave Knight and Wayne Banks are unable to do the rest of the tour dates this year due to other projects.

The new band members include:

Oliver Palotai - Guitar (Doro) Luca Princiotta - Guitar Nick Douglas - Bass (Doro) Daniel Loeble - Drums (Rawhead Rexx)

The following gigs are confirmed so far with the new band:

30th Sept - Velvet, Pordenone, Italy 1st Oct - Motion, Bergamo, Italy 2nd Oct - BQo, Rome, Italy 15th Oct - Hoehlenrock festival, Balve, Germany 18th Dec - BLAZE BIG BASH, Dudley, UK

Blaze says: "I can't wait to get back out on the road after all the changes, uncertainty and problems this year. I’m really excited and looking forward to playing these shows with the new band"

In addition to the above shows Blaze Bayley will be a guest of Doro Pesch on the following shows with the Metal Classic Night Orchestra.

16th Oct - Z7, Pratteln, Switzerland 18th Oct - Passionskirche, Berlin, Germany 21st Oct - Capitol, Offenbach, Germany 22nd Oct – Filharmonie, Stuttgart, Germany 23rd Oct – Tonhalle, Munich, Germany 24th Oct – Docks, Hamburg, Germany

I don't know how to take these news really. This has been in the air for several months now. First John not playing on the tour, then shows cancelled due to line-up changes, so I can't really say I'm surprised. However, it's sad to see two such good guitarists as Steve and John leaving. They were both very important for the band's sound, and I sincerely hope they'll not have only touring/session members now!

Added the new members to the main story by the way.

I think this is some really bad news! People might think that its Blaze himself that makes the band but i do not think so!, If you listen to As Live As it Gets you can hear how tight they are!! it's amazing!

Hopefully all the new mebers will do as good as the old ones.
