Beverley Knight Takes Inspiration from Maiden
Beverley Knight, responsible of multiple award-winning 1998 R&B album "Prodigal Sista" and top-ten ranking and platinum-seller 2003 "Who I am", says fans are going to be shocked by her new rock sound after taking inspiration from Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin."I thought, 'I'm a Midlander'. It's the home of Iron Maiden and Led Zepplin. I grew up with rock music so it was time to bring that into my music," she said according to an Ananova report.
"I'm aspiring to be someone who has a sound to her name rather than being in a genre or a box."
Her new release, the single 'Come As You Are', will hit the shelves this week, shortly followed by her fourth album 'Affirmation, on June 28.

Who is she anyway???
I never heard of her before.
You can check her latest video on her official website. A few metal shirts can be spotted (Motorhead,...)...
Anyway, it might not be R&B anymore, it's very very poppy and not rock at all
Cheers
