Bruce Dickinson Vs Danko Jones

on January 7, 2004 @ 14:03

Over the last couple of months, IRON MAIDEN vocalist Bruce Dickinson has been playing a handful of songs from the latest DANKO JONES album, "We Sweat Blood", frequently on his radio show on BBC 6, and when IRON MAIDEN had an off day a couple of weeks before Christmas, Bruce decided to invite Danko to the BBC 6 studio in London for a chat. To hear the full interview, tune in to the BBC 6 "Rock Show" on Saturday, January 10. You can find the details here.

After finishing the first interview, they switched places and Danko proceeded by doing a separate interview with Bruce for his own radio show, "The Magical World Of Rock With Danko Jones". This interview will be aired in combination with a special "singer's clinic" show Danko is currently preparing for spring. Besides Bruce Dickinson there will also be interviews with Dave Wyndorf (MONSTER MAGNET), Hank Von Helvete (TURBONEGRO), Derrick Green (SEPULTURA) and a few more rock icons talking about their secrets on how they prepare for shows and keep their voice in the best possible shape. More details on this shortly.

And if you can't get enough of the DANKO/IRON MAIDEN interaction going on, you should also check out this week's "Magical World Of Rock" radio show where Danko pays homage to the IRON MAIDEN "Powerslave" album by going through it track by track. You can either listen to the show live on the Internet or if you are within their range in Sweden at Rocket 95.3 FM. It airs on Friday, January 9 at 4 p.m. CET.
