Maiden Is the 18th Most Collected Band

Posted by The Saint on May 24, 2004 @ 21:45

In a book, 'Diario de un coleccionista' ('The Diary of a Collector'), Jordi Tarda, a journalist, music critic, concert promoter, radio host and himself a compulsive collector, writes about the craze of music artists collecting.

According to his ranking, apparently only concerning Spain, Iron Maiden ranks as the 18th most collected about band !

The five first positions are taken by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Dire Straits and Elvis Presley. Jimi Hendrix comes at 12, Jim Morrison at 15 and Kurt Cobain 26. The other very-collectable heavy metal band, Kiss, is behind Maiden, at 22.

I don't find that very surprising. Many people on Maidenfans (including me ) are Maiden collectors.

I'm also on my way to be a big Maiden collector, but first I have to complete my Maiden Discogrpahy .
This is summer I hope I'll have some money to buy a Maiden CD and if I have some little more I hope I'll also buy other metal band CD.
