I'm wondering why metallica won international and not Maiden? but anyhow. Slayer best live act it's sooo fragging kewl.
AS for Maiden it should have won Best band ever.
One question? Nicki Sixx? contribution to the rock world? care to share what u think? I think he is superb but not to be contributed to the rock world.
Cheers and rock on

Heavy metal veterans Iron Maiden were named best UK Act after a year which saw them score a number two album with Dance of Death.

The next two headline on The Darkness while they only received an award for a video, while Maiden was Best UK Act..... Tells you about the state of the press:
Iron Maiden, who recently scored a number two in the album chart with Dance Of Death, won best UK act.

BBC Radio 1 doesn't care and points to The Darkness... the URL says it all: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/news/altnews/0..._darkness.shtml
...others are all headlining about The Darkness: Five.tv, Wanadoo.co.uk
But, FINALLY, SOMEONE HEADLINING ON MAIDEN: the BBC say Iron Maiden Receive Rock Honour !
Last, but not least, the news of the day: Bruce Dickinson is an easyJet pilot
That honour was snapped up rejuvenated metallists Iron Maiden, they with the easyJet pilot of Bruce Dickinson at the controls.

And not related to Maiden, but the awards:
Special mention must also go to ex-Pantera and Damage Plan shredder Dimebag whose Best Guitarist acceptance speech consisted of him sitting on stage for ten minutes, half comatose, swigging from a bottle of Jack Daniels.

Does anyone else think Bruce is doing a little "David Beckham" in those pictures with his hairdo?
Non-related: great avatar. Fight Club is mind-blowing.
Cheers
U should also read "Survivor" and "choke"!
maiden should have won every single one of those awards, even the breakthrought one, what other band has been better than them since they first came on the scene? As for best videos, maiden havent had that many awesome videos, but to be honest, who the hell would rather watch a darkness video over a maiden one? The muisc with maiden is still a million times better, isnt that what its all about?
Hm, I think continental Metal/Hard Rock acts should be more regarded. Crystal Ball scored in one of the best hard rock albums since AC/DC's "Back In Black" heyday with "Hellvetia" in 2003, and the entire continental True Metal scene is completely disregarded methinks. While the UK and the US still have/had the best metal bands in the world, there is a whole new world-class generation in Germany alone with bands such as Majesty, Wizard, Paragon, Blind Guardian etc. Not to mention Italy or the Scandinavian countries, esp. Finland. It seems to me that Metal is being re-invented in Finland. Just think of bands like Sentenced.
Hell, all the mentioned bands are leagues ahead of Metallica (though they're unlikely to ever match Maiden), and that's saying a lot because Metallica is indeed very good.
BTW, is it just me or does Bruce look so... ordinary on these pics?
YEAH! Now that's what I call rock 'n' roll!
Some more pics.

Tell me, what is normal??
Tell me, what is normal??
Not trying to look mean even at the supermarket. Some of the metal dudes with Bruce at that pic really live in a rut.
