As in every year, the beloved metal site Metal-Sludge released the results of its 2004 Sludgeaholic Choice Awards, based on polls asking readers serious and not-so serious questions about the past year in metal.

Of interest for Maiden fans:

*Who had the best DVD/Home Video?

**Iron Maiden – “The Early Years Vol. I” 32.0% ** Ramones – “Raw” 12.8% Dream Theater – “Live at Budokan” 12.0% Aerosmith – “You Gotta Move” 7.7% Queen – “Live On Fire at the Bowl” 7.4% Sebastian Bach – “Forever Wild” 7.1% Godsmack – “Changes” 4.6% Opeth – “Lamentations (Live at Shepherd’s Bush Empire 2003)” 4.4% Goo Goo Dolls – “Live In Buffalo” 2.9% Evanescence – “Anywhere But Home” 2.6% Rainbow – “Inside Rainbow 1975-1979” 2.5% AntiProduct – “Melee in Milan” 1.4% Michael Schenker – “World Wide Live 2004” 1.1% Ill Nino – “Live from the Eye of the Storm” 1.1% Hoobastank – “Let It Out” 0.5% Total votes: 5071

This is the second time Iron Maiden has won this category. That's what happens when a band consistently puts out good DVDs year after year.
