In Flames: "Opening for Maiden is almost unreal"

Posted by Shadow on April 5, 2005 @ 14:49

In Flames and Mastodon will support Iron Maiden in Gotheburg, Sweden on July 9. The support acts were officially confirmed Monday (April 4).

"It's almost unreal," says In Flames bassist Peter Iwers. "Everyone that knows me know that Iron Maiden is my absolute favourite band. To play with them in front of a huge audience on home turf is really a dream come true."

In Flames are scheduled to begin recording their new album mid-April. The group's singer, Anders Fridén, told Nuclear Blast magazine that the upcoming album "will be more uptempo" and will feature "more guitar harmonies" than was the case with 2004's "Soundtrack to Your Escape".

Was it really necessary to open a new news thread for this ? Updating the last one would have been enough.

Anyway, nothing big to report, so...
