Kevin Shirley Interviewed for Future Maiden DVD
Kevin Shirley, the current Iron Maiden album producer, wrote this on his latest diary entry:Tuesday February22nd2005 - London, England
Finished!!!! 2 DVD's and a double CD, all mixed! So, I'm back to New York this weekend, and I'm feeling pretty good about that - although I have a huge and pretty hectic travel schedule coming up - Canada, Mexico, Turkey, Australia and Ireland before the end of June. Lots going on - not a lot to talk about tho' = just checking in! Off to Ronnie Scott's tonight, to catch some jazz and then it's filmed interviews tomorrow - for a Heavy Metal documentary (what the hell could I know about that!?) and also for a Maiden DVD. Peace,
KS
It is unclear if the 2 DVD and double CD are the Maiden material Kevin came especially to London to work on. Until now, word was that he worked on a single DVD.
Update:
Kevin adds on February 27:
I did a couple of interviews for TV documentaries before I left, one for Iron Maiden and a Heavy Metal piece, and got myself sufficiently lubricated so my responses where heartfelt (read selfishly unbridled and opinionated perspectives!), so it remains to be seen if they'll dredge up ten seconds worth of sound bites from my 3 hours of gushing!

maybe he just means 2 discs ! (hope so anyway)
=> also don't want a double cd atm, they are just exploiting their 30th birthday ! atleast that's my opinion..
Might be GME + DOD tour dvd + live cd, matches the numbers mentioned by Kevin.
It might also be part II of maiden's history. We'll just have to wait and see.

I doubt it. I'm still wondering why they didn't use him for the 'Early Days'.
Cheers

Probably because they weren't going to mix anything in 5.1. I guess "Live after death" DVD will feature a 5.1 mix.
Added more info that Kevin left about his interviews.
Cheers
I wouldn't be so optimistic. It could 'just' be a DVD reissue of an already existing live video (considering how much people whined about the lack of a Live After Death DVD).
