PLEASE!
Since 2000, we've had:
-Brave New World
-Rock In Rio
-Eddie's Archive
-Edward The Great
-Dance Of Death
-The Essential Iron Maiden
-Death On The Road
And I'm not even going to start on the singles and their B-Sides.
Can't we just have a new album including original material? Why would you want yet another rehash of old stuff?
I agree with Perun. Don't make the die-hard collectors shell out more $ for music they aready own (just to complete their collections)
Give us new music!

Here, Here. Iron Maiden are releasing a lot of rehashes these days, but it will all be worth it for just one new album once every three years. As I see it, if Maiden release all of these rehasehes, we are not forced to buy them so I don't see it as much of a problem, just a bit tedious if you are a completionist.
new material please!but they sounded really good!

I want it because not only did it kick ass, but it is also fun to listen to the different nuances of different recordings of the same song.

We WILL have a new album including original material. As long as Maiden continue with this, I won't mind hearing "old crap" in between new albums. It's only extra. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Hear, hear!!!
Why are you guys complaining? If they would not be releasing all this material you would have been complaining that they should release more things.
Iron Maiden are not going to release an album every year. They got other things that they have to do. They got families, hobbies, and they also need time to rest. They are not young men anymore and they need to spend time doing other things.
It seems like my post was misunderstood.
I have no problem with Maiden releasing or re-releasing "old" stuff in the interim time of two albums. I am very fond of the "Visions Of The Beast" and "Early Days" DVDs. In fact, I even appreciate the fact that Maiden are releasing stuff to fill the gap, and even go on tour.
My reply was about the proposition of re-recording old songs and releasing that. In my opinion, that is time and energy wasted on something that is completely unnecessary, which could have been used to produce original material.
If Maiden choose to release their "live in studio" stuff on a compilation after the release of the next album, it would be a different story.
