New Derek Artwork and Iron Maidens Samples

After offering a first glimpse of their new album's artwork, the Iron Maidens are now showing a small image of the entire cover, made by none other than Derek Riggs:

A zoom on the creature's face shows it's a female Eddie, as it was strongly rumored for some time:

The album, self-titled 'The Iron Maidens', will be available on April 8. The band, not having a distribution deal, will sell the album at their shows, but it can also be preordered at their online shop for 15 USD.

Click the following links to listen to exclusive MP3 samples of three songs featured on the upcoming full length tribute CD. The full tracklist is not known at the time.

Children of the Damned

Phantom of the Opera

Hmm, I didn't think I'd see the day that Riggsy would draw anything Eddie related..

Hopefully he reconsiders and teams up with Maiden again. That'd make my day for the next couple of years.

I wonder, because they SELL CD's at concerts but not in stores....
How did they manage that with EMI + Sanctuary?

i've seen seen the Iron Maidens play at a show in LA and they were just like maiden....only chicks. the stage was set up just like a maiden concert, dressed just like the guys(of course in a femineme way) down to nicko's sweatbands, guitarists on both sides of the vocalist, bassist to the singers left...amazing...maiden as girls...OH YEAH!!!!

Hi MaidenAustria
That's a very good and important question, especially to fans. It's quite simple, actually. One simply applies for licensing and pays the appropriate fees, which is what we've done.

It looks like a mix the Killer's Eddie, and the one on the Early Days DVD.
But it's really cool...wow !!
Nice work Derek R.
