Nicko at the UK Metal Hammer Awards

Even if Maiden did not win any prize in this year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, Nicko was invited to the show that took place at the Astoria in London on June 13.

Attached is a picture of him in the red carpet press room.

Winners on the night were:

Best UK Band: Lostprophets
Best Live Band: Slipknot
Best International Band: The Used
Best Underground Band: Meshuggah/Mastodon
Best Metal Record Label: Roadrunner
Incoming Award For Best Newcomer: Nightwish
Best Video: My Chemical Romance 'Helena'
Riff Lord Award: Zakk Wylde
Shredder Award: Herman Li, Dragonforce
Best Metal Band: Anthrax
Best album: Judas Priest 'Angel Of Retribution'
Icon Award: Ville Valo
The Spirit Of Hammer: Black Sabbath
The Golden God Award: Lemmy

You might have a chance to catch a glimpse of Nicko by watching the Awards on July 6 on ITV1 in the UK.

That's so true. How many albums do they have and how many years they have made music? Im not sure, but didn't they start in the early 90´s? That surely should have something to say against the newcomer title.

(With exceptions of certain popular over night pop-wannabe-punk bands like Good Charlotte, Busted etc.)
