One Date Per Country for Tour, New DVD in March

on January 28, 2005 @ 11:48

According to Europa Press, La Verdad Digital and Siglo XXI, three spanish newspapers, the members of Iron Maiden have decided to organize only one gig per country for their forthcoming tour.

That explains why rumors first stated that Maiden could tour several cities in Spain but then only signed for the Lorca Festival, on which promoters have invested 1 million Euros (funnily enough, the Maiden contract with that festival was finalized in New York).

La Verdad Digital adds that the Lorca Festival will be fully presented next March, with eight other bands added to the bill. It's already known that tickets will be sold for 60 Euros for the first 1000 people served, then at 70 Euros.

Of much interest, the articles states that the presentation will coincide with a presentation of the new Maiden DVD. Since the 'Early Days' is already a few months old, could it mean that a new DVD is already scheduled ? Doubtful, but Maidenfans.com will keep you posted on this story.

One gig per country, but 3 big gigs for germany, 2 for Finland and Norway (but these 2 are indoor so it's an explanation. smile.gif

In my opinion maiden members haven't decided where to play, it's just the management that chose the best offers. smile.gif

Add the same reservations, but if you look at it, the gigs in Scandinavia were added after sold out shows ony.

And, for the moment, Iron Maiden only announced one German gig. The RIP/RAR isn't official on their side, for unknown reasons...

Cheers
