I must say that it's only worth the price for its rarity, since the inside CD are the 2 CD pressings (the ones with the Bsides) and the box is only a cardboard thingy around the CDs.
What would I do with a 1000 dollars... mmmh ?

Yeah you could buy all those CD's with B Sides seperately for years. Some HMV's still have the odd copy of the odd album. I've got Fear of the Dark but couldnt afford the rest. So what youre paying for really is 2 cardboard boxes with a number on

I have one version of powerslave with b-sides. Is there any way to tell if it's from this box or from the american release that was mentioned in the ebay text?

rare? Not that I'd sell but I wonder.

Well, the 2CD are not that rare as they were widely available.
On the second-hand market only as they have been removed since, for their was another catalogue re-release (with multimedia sections added) in 1998 (Eddie the Head boxset release).
So, in all, only the cardbox set with the ten CD is the rare item.

I'm beggining to wonder if this whole special edition box set thing is getting out of hand. I've seen many Stephen King books be released as special limited edition items that fetch hundreds, if not thousands, on Ebay.
Any kid with a scanner, printer, scissors and glue could make himself a fancy box to put a collection of CDs in. I think I'll make one myself.

well these are the cds that were sold in shop normally, ive got them all, but these are just in paper box, and paying 1400 USD for them, nah... iam not so rich. i can buy an old car for that price here ![lol[1].gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lol[1].gif)
Thats rather insane. Some Maiden items are completely WAY overpriced.

I have them also - this piece of printed paper isn't that worth IMO...
Anyway - ppl like those who set their bid - bring Maiden-Items in an extreme high price level...

Check out: Every single, album, MC - whatever sells 150% higher than any other band... (maybe except rare KISS & Metallica Stuff)....
You can get signed stuff from a Shitload of other bands just for a handshake...
If you check the numbers carefully, you'll notice that the guy owns at least two sets of the boxset. Differerent pictures from the Part I show either number 411 or number 151. As for the Part II, it's 507 or 215! So expect another of this "really, really rare item that's why I'm charging you so much mate!" very soon on ebay!

and if you're really after collectibles, go for the record fairs instead. There are some decent human beings you can always talk to there, and even bargain with.
I'm sorry to disappoint you, mate, but the pictures with the numbers 0507 and 0411 are not from the auctioneers collection, but illustrations from Troopersounds (he even provides links to the website where you can see the pictures).

All right fair enough. Anyway, that still remains bloody expensive!
I must add that at the time, you could buy the Parts separately. Hence, many owners actually have two different numbers for their Part I and Part II.

i still havnt recieved the box...but god damn it looks amazing..just to let u guys know..i already got the castle records 2cd version..and it is some how different from the cds on this box..the us versions..come with a kinda obi strip on em..these are the uk prints...which dont have that obi..but have a small sticker on the front of each cd..
