Iron Maid€n - Exclusive Article
I have added a new section to the website today. We now have a Maidenfans.com Articles section where it basically gives me an outlet to rant at you all about things in the Maiden world that are annoying me somewhat. The first article is available now and discusses the ever increasing price of being a Maiden fan. You can read the article here. Please comment on the article with your own opinions on the subject.7 Comments
They are releasing a lot of DVD's lately simply because DVD's sell much better than CD's.
Actually I have no problem with these many different releases. I buy only the release in which I am interested in. As well I stopped collecting.
I think it's cool that they release a live DVD and bonus stuff after every album and I like the "Early Years...Golden Years..." idea with DVD's and the Tours. It gives us all the chance to see the Tours we missed since we were too young back than. And I can't get enough of interesting DVD's.
As long as they rekease interesting quality stuff I can't get enough of it.
i was writing an essay for half an hour and it wasn t added !! grrrrrr
Should have been. I saw two of your comments saying i cant add a comment - which you obviously can or you wouldnt be able to say that :)
.....look, as i finished first comment, i received an error report, i look to the bottom of the page it was nothing of my comment, so after for experiment i sent the 2 other 'i can ' add comment' comments.......the page was needing to be actualised, that's all, to the second 'real' comment i had same error report, but when i pushed the actualised button, my comment appeared.....voila!___ anyway, nice article, but mostly very nice site ! ;)
I remember back in -99 the price of the Ed Hunter concert ticket costed ab. 200 FIM in Finland (and so this was after the reunion). Then came this EURO and all of a sudden concert tickets (for Maiden and everyone else) cost 50 EUR = ab. 300 FIM. So was it the EURO of what that rose the concert tickest for 50 %! Now it's something like 56 EUR for Maiden tickets, so you are right, this is expensive. But the demand seems to be neverending as the two November gigs are almost sold out and definitely I will be there.
Basically ticket prices have gone through the roof everywhere so that's the main point to be made. Secondly Maiden are way more interested in making amazing music and not just more money. Put it this way all the Maiden guys are multi-millionaires already and have been for many years so that's not much of an issue in my opinion. Thirdly you guys in the rest of the UK should count yourselves lucky because Maiden haven't played in Ulster(where I'm from) since 1995 so dry your eyes!
what I liked in blaze era it's that they were playing in small places (better sound) and many more countries ...you can t have everything..! this finish just said it...it's this €uro also that put prices to stratospere !!
