Kevin Shirley Mixing Maiden Concert Footage

on May 13, 2006 @ 09:56

The following was part of Kevin Shirley's diary as of 12 May:

As we finished up the new Iron Maiden album on Monday, I spent the rest of the week mixing some old Maiden concert footage in 5.1 surround sound for future release and finally almost finished that last night...

The entry gives no information regarding what footage or what future release it might appear on. Read the full diary here.

Maybe, but if I remember correctly, Kevin said he'd finished mixing the LAD DVD last year, didn't he? Anyway, if Maiden release a dvd or album from last years "Eddie Rips Up 2005" tour, I reckon a great title for it would be "ANOTHER LIVE", as in "ANOTHER LIFE". I don't know about you, but I think that would be a great title for it, seeing how many live albums Maiden have. Don't take that the wrong way, unlike some people I love the fact that Maiden have so many live releases, as long as each one is distinctly different from the last. I still haven't bought the "Death On The Road" DVD, as I am still waiting, like many of you, for the word. There's no point buying a product which has been publically labelled as "faulty" by so many people. I wish they'd hurry up and get it sorted, but then again, the lads have been verry busy over the past couple of months putting the knew album together, so keeping that in mind I think I'll give them a bit longer before I get totally fed up of waiting and past caring whether they sort it or not. Maybe now that the new studio record is ready to go, they'll confront the DOTR problem and sort it out, hope they do. Oh yeah, speaking of live albums and the like, I'm currently looking for a Maiden bootleg titled "Madrid '98" from the Blaze era. Apparently it is the best bootleg from that tour, and I am after it because I'm really keen to hear "The Educated Fool" and "Lightning Strikes Twice" performed live. Does anybody have the bootleg? And if so, what do you think of it? And where can I find it? (Just note that I'm not a bootleg trader.) Ok, thank you verry much and I'd be really grateful for some help here - Nicko JR
