Cliveaid.com are proud to announce this years charity show.

On Friday May 26th Cliveaid Live will make its way to Doncaster to put on a great rock show. Over the past few years we have worked closely with Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr to raise funds for Various charities. This years show features two young Doncaster bands “Stinger” and “10 foot Dolls”. This is a great show for these young bands to play at. The main event of the evening will be the appearance of Clive Burr who will do a meet and greet. There will be another three bands on the show and we are pleased to announce the first of our main bands “Demon” this band have been with us for many years and are one of the best live bands this country has. Demon are constantly playing in Europe and are a major draw at European festivals a must see band. Also on the bill are new British band “Death by Misadventure”. With all new material this will be the bands first festival of the year. With there blend of metal riffs and melodic undertones they are a band to watch.

At the point of going to press we are still waiting for our headline band to confirm. It is hoped that “Girlschool” will finish the line up, should the girls not be able to do the show we will bring another top band to Doncaster, so you can rest assured of a great evening out. We will also hold an auction where we will bring some very special items to Doncaster these include Clives original snare drum that recorded “Killers”

Tickets are available from www.cliveaid.com at £10 or from Track records or Blue Banana in Doncaster.

The show will take place at the Parklands sports and social club and the doors open at 6pm.

Sounds good! Girlschool eh? Mmmmmmmm... Oh, before I get carried away, withh the mention of Clive's old snare-drum I'd just like to ask what make of kit Clive used on the 1982 Beast On The Road tour (the kit whcih is now in the vault of the Hard Rock Cafe). Grateful for any further details on the kit. Cheers - Nickers... I mean Nicko JR. Woh, the idea of Girlschool has gone to me head - hehay!
