Preserving fan history

About the Live Archive

A maintained catalogue recovered from the Maiden World Live project and republished by MaidenFans.

What this is

Beginning in 2004, Iron Maiden collectors documented concerts, circulating recording versions, tapers, equipment, transfer lineage, track lists, frequency analysis and subjective quality scores in the Maiden World Live wiki. The useful corpus survived even though the installation later accumulated hundreds of thousands of automated spam pages and more than a million junk accounts.

What was recovered

The first recovery imported 1,400 plausible historical pages and published 976 date-addressable concert records, 21 tour chronologies and more than 1,300 recording entries. Six otherwise useful pages whose latest revisions contained mass backlink injections were automatically restored to their last clean revisions.

What is not published

No concert audio is hosted, linked or offered. The original archive’s short comparison samples remain private. User pages, talk pages, account data, spam content and stale trader contact directories were excluded.

A living catalogue

This is a recovered starting point rather than a finished historical record. Dates, venues and recording descriptions may be incomplete or wrong. Newer tours and collector knowledge can be added through a reviewed editorial process, with each fact retaining its source and attribution.
