Smith/Kotzen trace their partnership from home jams to a second album
Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen began as friends jamming at home before Nathalie Smith encouraged them to write together. In a Classic Rock feature, they recall that start and the first Smith/Kotzen shows in 2022. Smith describes his nerves about returning to lead singing, while Kotzen recalls growing up as a Maiden fan. Smith also explains how the stream of information on phones and the internet inspired “White Noise”, from their second album, Black Light/White Noise.
