Sorting the dates of Maiden’s 1980 Marquee recordings
Perun distinguishes Maiden's 3 April 1980 Marquee recordings from the shows on 3–5 July in a comparison of singles, EPs and television footage. The post separates two versions of “Drifter” and uses narration in 20th Century Box to argue that its performance was filmed on 4 July. Perun leaves open which July night supplied “Sanctuary” on Live!! +one. Perun also questions the programme's commonly given 1981 broadcast date, pointing to narration about forthcoming shows that fits 1980. These conclusions remain Perun's reading of the releases.
