Halford passed on touring with Maiden

on May 21, 2003 @ 14:06

In article published today on Blabbermouth.net, HALFORD manager John Baxter confirm that the band have officially parted ways with Sanctuary Records. The split, which was said to be far from amicable, comes on the heels of the ex-JUDAS PRIEST frontman's recently-issued public statement in which he accused Sanctuary of sabotaging the promotional campaign for HALFORD's last studio album in an effort to bring the singer back together with his former group.
The band blood between the two parties was apparently strong enough for HALFORD to pass on the opportunity to tour with IRON MAIDEN in Europe during the summer. "[Rob] loves the [IRON MAIDEN] bandmembers, but [he] didn't want anything to do with Sanctuary [who handle management for MAIDEN]," said Baxter. "Being burned is being burned."

That sucks... Rod just wanted to make fans happy as we all want Priest's reunion! \m/
I hope it'll happen in future...
Anyway, Halford supporting Maiden would rock!

Yep for the Silicon Messiah album. And Sanctuary did no help promoting to get a tour so the band did it by themselves. They left amikably too because Sanctuary did give the band a kick start with a website and promoting on IronMaiden.com but y'know it's the bigger bands who seem to get all the attention
