Iron Maiden and Anthrax in the same band?
Despite the official statement released by Sanctuary Artists Management on behalf of Nicko McBrain denying that he has joined Dan Spitz's new band 7X70, the official web site of the band claims that the information is correct. Seventimesseventy.com report that one of their Demo Mix's has been stolen and now is downloadable on the NET. Because of that they are now forced to at least inform the fans about the songs and project. The song is titled "OFF THE CHAIN" and is available here. More info about 7X70 at this location.

Blabbermouth.net reported that the lead vocals on "Off The Chain" features '80s rapper-turned-nu-metaller VANILLA ICE. Also SEVEN X SEVENTY is said to feature in its ranks Spitz's brother Dave (ex-BLACK SABBATH, LITA FORD, GREAT WHITE) on bass.

Its not exactly something that I would have expected Nicko to play. A bit too rappy, but its tolerable.Spitz has a pretty good guitar sound in it.Hopefully the rest of the bands stuff will be more metal (A hybrid Maiden/Anthrax would sound awsome )

well ive only got their newest cds so, maby they where more "rappy" before? i dont know, but precision of time is not rap either, and thats an older one....

They only really did those 2 songs. Most else is thrash. Bring the Noise was the song they did with Public Enemy. Joey didn't rap but Scott did on it.

well ive heard "im the man" now, and really, it sounds like they are just fuckin around!
Thats Nicko playing! I know his drum fills anywhere! Hey, it's not something I thought Nicko would do but it shows his diversity.......and thats great! Its shows that Nicko could play just like these modern drummers today which makes Nicko more of a fantastic drummer in my eyes and ears! I don't think Nicko's taking this thing that seriously....we all know that Iron Maiden is his wife, but hey...people cheat sometimes, and the sex can be different! Best of luck to Nicko with anything he does! Up The Nicko, the greatest drummer ever!
