"US Tour set in order " says Nicko McBrain

On the latest update of his Diary at Iron Maiden official website, drummer Nicko McBrain has reported that the band was trying to find the perfect order to their US tour set list and they had success in doing that. "We did a show in Hartford on Tuesday night and it was a good ‘Kin crack. We played a different set from the Monday evening’ show in Worcester. We dropped Two Minutes To Midnight. It kind of worked but we still felt the need to change the running order, as it still wasn’t feeling right. Last night(July 23th) in Camden, near Philadelphia, we changed yet again. This time we put back 2 mins, as the first song of the encore, and then finished with Run to the Hills. It worked really well. So with the set in order we are ready to take on the States.", Nicko McBrain says.

According to SMNNews.com, Iron Maiden have been belting out the following tunes at recent US tour stops:

  1. Number Of The Beast
  2. The Trooper
  3. Die With Your Boots On
  4. Revelations
  5. Hallowed Be Thy Name
  6. Wildest Dreams
  7. The Wicker Man
  8. The Clansman
  9. The Clairvoyant
  10. Fear Of The Dark
  11. Iron Maiden

Encore: 12. 2 Minutes To Midnight 13. Run To The Hills

Probably not cuz Canada is part of their US Tour which has Dio and Motorhead on the bill... so not enough time to play the entire set list. That's why they started to cut songs from the set.

i was at the jones beach show and oh my god! That set was fucking amazing! dio was better than i ever imagined. Motorhead fucking sucked. all their songs sounded the same. Maiden was so exhilarating! i got chills when NotB started to play. For my first real concert, this was absolutely amazing!

I have tickets for the Toronto show this weekend. I have nothing against Motorhead, but if Maiden could drop them from the tour and add the four songs they cut from the European dates, I would gladly take it. The set list looks great, but I am disappointed to not see anything off of No Prayer or Somewhere in time two tours in a row.
Regardless though, this show will kick ASS!!!!!
