Bruce Dickinson on VH1's Least Metal Moments
According to a post on the Maiden BB, Bruce Dickinson's fencing hobby was featured as number 34 on VH1's Top 40 Least Metal Moments show yesterday. The show featured Dee Snyder talking about how metal Maiden are, and then how Bruce changed his metal image and began wearing white thights fencing. His book "The Adventures of Lord Iffy Boatrace" was also mentioned. More info on the show itself can be found hereThanks to TheKilling of the Maiden BB

I saw this show last night (VH1 always seems to get me hooked on the strangest shows). They also mentioned how Bruce became a pilot. There were at least some good/funny comments about Bruce's "non-metalness." Maybe the main reason I watched this is to hear to hear the comments on these so-called non-metal moments.
I was glad to see moments like Metallica selling out and cutting their hair high on this list but I had a bit of a problem when they tore apart the band Europe for being from Sweden (and for sucking). As if Sweden is the least metal place because of this crappy band. How many death/black metal bands are from Sweden? Anyone who has heard a fair amount of extreme Swedish metal knows that just because a wussy band is from Sweden, it does not make the place non-metal. VH1 can be so un-informed. I liked one of the comments about Europe though: "What hurt Europe was not that they were from Sweden. What hurt them was that they sucked." Very true.
