Bruce Falling KO during the LA Gig

on January 31, 2004 @ 14:42

According to various report, Bruce Dickinson fell head first from one of the higher set platform almost into Nicko's drumkit. He seemed to be groggy for about a minute lying on his back then rocking back and forth in pain, but as Janick and some crew started to notice and went to help, he got up just in time for the verse "as the guards march..." verse of 'Hallowed Be Thy Name'.

After the end of the song, the band huddled and talked about it, since they hadn't seen it happening. Steve even looked in disbelief while Bruce was pointing out where he slipped. Understandably, Bruce was moving much slower for the rest of the show.

He even said he wanted to get some X-Rays after the show, but maybe that the Air-Raid was only kiddin...

Later on in the show, he went off to a security person who was pouring water on stage, telling him that he already slipped once and didn't want to do it again.

Thanks to Hazelnut, Seventy2NodNarB, Asian Maiden, Kahn and Lokoman for the head's up

well i was there and i saw him fall... it sucked, it looked like he was on a slip and slide off the platform onto the floor. he looked in pain as he held his chest and leaned back and forth. It sucked, but lucky for the actual performance he fell right before the first guitar solo started. then once he got back everyone Cheered! it just shows everyone that Iron Maiden cant be Stopped! FOR BRUCE: DONT GET HURT BECAUSE FANS NEEDS IRON MAIDEN.

I was scared for Bruce. I was in front and looking at Steve so I didn't see him fall, and thought he was just being dramatic until Janick went over to see if he was O.K. He got up and kept singing, though. Bruce is one hell of a performer.
