Bruce Not Performing at Nordoff-Robbins Strat Pack

on August 16, 2004 @ 12:40

Please note that Bruce Dickinson is not appearing at the above. Although he was asked to perform, Bruce had to decline the invitation due to prior commitments. Some advertisements have recently included Bruce. This was an administrative error by the event organisers.

If anyone has purchased tickets to specifically see Bruce Dickinson, they should be entitled to a full refund and should refer back to their original point of sale.

Despite this mistake we hope that many of you will support this event in aid of a very worthwhile charity. Nicko will be playing so give him a big cheer!!!!

IronMaiden.com has changed the title of this news today by implying that Adrian won't be playing either:

Bruce & Adrian NOT performing at Nordoff-Robbins Strat Pack

The main text of the news remains the same.

Cheers

Many asked why Nicko ended up not showing at the Fender Anniversary Gig but only in a clinic. Here are two entries of Phil Hilbourne news website that shed some light on the issue:

September 21st 2004
Fender 50th Anniversary Gig

Due to circumstances beyond our control the scheduled Wembley Arena charity gig with Phil, Nicko McBrain and Jaz Lochrie on the 24th September has been cancelled
- the actual gig is still happening but we will not be on the bill!
Many apologies to anyone who specifically bought tickets to see us - it should still be a great show though!

p.s. Phil, Jaz and Nicko are still playing at the Wembley drum show on Sunday 26th September. They have a 1 hr slot on the main stage at Wembley Conference Centre.

September 24th 2004
Wembley Drumfest

Joining Phil, Nicko and Jaz on Sunday 26th September at the Wembley 'Drummer Live' Drum Show will be 4 time Grammy winning drummer/producer Narda Michael Walden www.naradamichaelwalden.com - both drummers, Nicko and Narada are going to be on-stage for the whole show . . . . . should be very interesting.

I looked everywhere but couldn't find any reports or picture of that event... If someone did attend, please tell us how was that hour of mad drumming !!!

Cheers
