Bruce Shows Appreciation for Slash
On his latest BBC show, Bruce Dickinson interviewed Slash and Duff about their forthcoming album and showed is appreciation for the former GNR guitarist. In an interview which almost totally consisted about the path of the two former Guns'n'Roses' members towards their new project, Bruce had this witty sentence about the June release date of the album: "That's very exciting, you've beaten your former bandmate by about 20 years".
In another funny moment, Duff asked Bruce "Where were you, Bruce? Whats the deal?" when Slash explained an old auditionning process.
But the most interesting part for music lovers is when Bruce told Slash that, for him, he was one of the last great talking guitarists, a guitarist who could really tell a story with his instrument. Bruce even added that he didn't know anybody else that could bring so much out of the guitar but still rock and still make it heavy without sounding cliché...
...a nice word that Bruce would surely not share with Buckethead, the recently fired GNR guitarist: "And theres no bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken on here" he announced while playing the GNR tune 'Garden of Eden' !
