Clive Burr's Technique is "Athletic and Powerful"
In its April 30th issue, Goldmine Magazine, a record collectors' favorite, tells about its 25 Great Moments in Rock Drumming. One includes Maiden's former drummer:"Clive Burr: Run to the Hills (Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast). From the opening high-hat beats, Clive Burr begins breaking down the bulwark that would push the Iron Maiden ship into New Wave Of British Heavy Metal legend. Burr and bassist Steve Harris blast out of the gates like a heard of buffalo, galloping and gaining speed. It's Burr's athletic and powerful technique, matched with a great sense of timing that keeps the song on edge, wihtout plunging over."

Excellent article!.
Clive rules, he's a great drumer. One of the best not so famous drummers around (though he can't play anymore). He did a great job in The Number Of The Beast.
He deserves these good words.
Oh hell yeah!
Clive was the man!
I feel sad to hear about his illness, If you haven't , there is a clive burr fund at which you can make a donation to help him and other people suffering the same illness. This fund was set up by iron maiden and can be found on their official website.
