DVD European Release Moved, Spanish Tour Confirmed
MaidenZone.com reports that they received a mail from EMI Spain stating that the release date of Maiden's upcoming Early Days DVD has been changed from November 8th to November 1st (November 2nd in Spain). This is also in accordance to what many online shops has reported.Apparently, the release date has been advanced to avoid competition in the UK with the 'Live Aid' DVD which will probably end up at the first place in the charts.
The e-mail from EMI Odeon Spain also mentions that they already have the spanish dates for the upcoming 2005 tour, but that they can't give them out at the moment.
The 2nd DVD in the Maiden series is also confirmed, but no release date has yet been decided upon.

Cool!!!
In Poland it's also scheduled for Novermber 1st (which is holiday here anyway but it might be in stores even a few days earlier).
What does that email say about incoming tour? I can't wait for it!
BTW do you also have problems with accessing IMBB??
Cheers!

Who gives a monkeys?
And that banana's annoying. These things belong in the Madness forum usually....
Thats good to know. I will have to purchase a copy.
According to EMI Austria:
EMI Capitol Music
Release date is 2nd November!
YEAH
Altered the title, for it concerns the European release date only.
Seems US has been pushed to Nov 23 (as I mentionned it as a reply in the thread concerning the US date, but nothing is certain yet, so no news headline about this story yet).
Cheers
Well, below is the full message Maidenzone posted. There's a lot of interesting info:
1) the release date has been advanced to avoid competition with the 'Live Aid' DVD in the UK which will probably end up at the first place in the charts
2) EMI Spain knows the spanish dates of the tour but can't give them, so there you go, Ghost of Cain, you have the confirmation of a Spanish tour you were waiting for...
3) They mention the volume 2 of the DVD series, but don't have any info on a release date (this one is less interesting, but I translate it anyway for those not reading spanish).
I'll update the main news with that info !

Subject: RE: Información correcta acerca "Early Days"
Hola -
Thanks for the info. However, from the words of EMI one can think that they know the dates and can't release them or that they don't know them yet. Anyway, it's quite sure they'll play in Spain in 2005 (probably more than 2 gigs).
what is this live aid dvd
and it should be stated clearly that the second dvd is confirmed but not what it's covering ( powerslave - somewhere in time or powerslave - ssoass )

There's nothing about that in the e-mail EMI Spain sent, but you can read the following topic to know more about the second series:
