Finally a Good Word on Maiden from FFF
NME recently conducted an interview with Funeral For A Friend's front- man Matt. Here's his (rather dull...) reply to one interesting question:NME: How did it feel to go on tour with Iron Maiden as they are a legendary band?(...)
Matt: Playing with Maiden was amazing, they are such a great band.

only cos i made sure i gave 'em a bad reception at Nottingham! Maiden! Maiden! Maiden!
actually probably the only reason they said it was because of NME's prompt, otherwise they would have kept their silence.
Some members of FFaF are Maiden fans.
FFaF are an aweful band.
I've seen one stupid video clip on MTV, and IMO they look like those 70's wannabe bands, that have that long fringe of hair, and play "rock".
They should be greatful of being Maiden's support band during the UK DOD Tour.
The frontman said some nice things, but the band should respect Maiden as for what they are. (sorry for the wrong language if there is)
UP THE IRONS
I wouldn't say they're awful. Of course, as I type I'm listening to them for the first time. But it has a nice rock vein. Reminds me almost of Our Lady Peace. I like the sound of the vocals.
Metalwise, I don't think they're anything special. I wouldn't really qualify them as a metal band, yet. I think they were a bad choice for Maiden fans, though. The music is quite a bit different.
He tried a kind of Korn-scream here. It was horrible. Ruined the song.
It's the kind of thing I'd listen to a few times, but not even close to Maiden. Talent or genre wise...
FFaF sucked up to us so much at earls court. however they are ok apart from the lame shouting which is done by the drummer i look like him
