Maiden Lost Tape to Resurface ?
Rumours are that english studio owner Paul Terrak, 56, is asking 30.000 pounds for an ancient "lost tape" containing 27 minutes of early & unreleased Maiden stuff. Says Terrak: "This was back when they did not have money to play (here). Now they do have it. I found this baby here the other night and they did not want to pay me for it , so I figured out some fan might want it".Mr. Terrak says he won´t show the songs before selling them because "In these days you lose your stuff on the internet before you can say Iron Maiden". A former musician himself, he says that whoever buys the "lost tape" won´t regret. I never really liked the music that made them famous in the first place. But this baby here has some fine music, I can tell you that".
But if Terrak is careful about a possible leak to the internet, he does not despise it´s selling potential and plans to sell the tape on an early april auction on e-bay.

As usual, handle with care. It's a vague rumor only, re-ignited by an e-mail received by ludurigan of the official BB.

he´s a blood-sucker...
He could put a sample online to prove its authenticity couldn't he?
If this is true, the man's the lowest form of life on the planet, even worse than Bacillus anthracis. Some blood-thirsty parasite that would put Plasmodium falciparum to shame.
What a C**T!
I think he'd be a lower form of life if he was lying
Would you buy it for 30 grand if it were true?
Let me get this straight...
Tapes recorded at a studio are the property of the studio until the artist pays for them. In this case, Iron Maiden has not paid for them, and if the seller can be believed, will not pay for them. I am giving the seller the benefit of the doubt and assuming that he has in fact offered the tapes to Maiden recently and at a fair price. If he hastn't, then there's a problem.
But if in fact Maiden has declined to buy the tapes, then why shouldn't the owner be allowed to sell them for whatever he can get? After all, Maiden has had decades to pay the owner for the tapes and hasn't done so, despite the fact that they've been able to afford it for some time now. Why should the owner let the tapes sit in a corner, gathering dust?
If this guy is on the level (I know, that's a big if) then I see nothing wrong.
agree SMX, and if it is true that luckly fan or buyer should release the tapes over a web page the buyer could make a fortune, but then if Maiden members dont want them then copyrights and all the above would have to go out the window its amazing if i was this studio bloke with the tapes i would approach an indie label and and release it but only if the maiden members have agreed... and as for money im sure the maiden clan would no doubt have a sufficient amount of money to buy not just the tapes but the studios as well ........
No but I wouldnt pay £200 for a real copy of the Soundhouse tapes either
I got mine as a present!
Hope that Maiden will buy it and kindly put that music as a bonus track of a future re-release (Soundhouse Tapes in cd, why not? In Europe it has never been issued as an official cd!). Someone at Sanctuary has recently sold shares isn't it? So there''s some money in.....
If he is a liar......let me get in his studio some day!!!!!
if i had the money i would get it
IF this tape is reality, then I bet it's some kind of "warming up" stuff... I bet there's not much as a song there.
It's a possibility, though.
I think it would e good if it was real cus we wuld get to here more of dennis stratton and his amazing solos
