Here are the categories which list Maiden:

Album of the year - World:
#1 - Iron Maiden "Dance of Death"

Hit song of the year - World:
#2 - Iron Maiden "Wildest Dreams"
#4 - Iron Maiden "Rainmaker"
#8 - Iron Maiden "Dance of Death" - it wasn't a single but was voted by the fans...

Band of the year - World:
#1 - Iron Maiden

Musician of the year - World:
#1 - Steve Harris
#8 - Bruce Dickinson

Man of the year - World:
#2 - Steve Harris
#4 - Bruce Dickinson

Disappointment of the year - World:
#2 - new Iron Maiden's album (but Metallica was #1 in this category biggrin.gif )

Well, DOD is probably considered by most to be a great album. But I bet there's some people out there who either a) took one look at the cover and decided it'd be crap, or B ) Still can't get it through their heads that Maiden has a sound that's not exactly like it was back on PoM or Powerslave, or Seventh Son. Heaven forbid! They still have that horrendous Gers character on guitar. Why would they do that? They should just re-record Powerslave and Number of the Beast with the same lineup!


Now, as Onhell would say, it's time to get out the shades.
