More B L A Z E News
John Slater has now posted an update on the new B L A Z E album. Here's an excerpt:I have just been putting the final touches to some multimedia which may or may not appear on the album....If it does it should answer some of the questions that keep cropping up. Its format is similar to the one on the Tenth Dimension CD with some interviews, rehearsing and recording. I've tried to save some stuff to stick on the web as another diary which I'll try and sort out soon.
Recording wise everything went pretty smoothly and Andy (Sneap) will have the album mastered and completed within the next couple of days. (Can't Wait!)
The last thing I did was last Thursday when I laid my last guitar solo down.
With this album and also the other two studio albums Steve and I recorded our Solos at home. This was done on Steves digital 8-track recorder. We stuck all the songs that we'd already recorded onto the 8 track so we could play along to them at home & without any pressure from anyone else. Then we'd take the 8 track back into the studio where Andy would re-mike our solos that we'd recorded through an Amp and lay them back over the original track in the studio. Get it?
