I have a doubt that an unofficial source would have access to BOH video and all the extras and the new Maiden interviews... I have more than a hunch that it's the real thing!

Uh, Mav, he said right at the top of his post that it is a BOOTLEG.

This just proves that as one gets older, the eyes are the first things to go... tongue.gif

well, all that stuff is fairly known in the trading world, so it is quite possible that this is a bootleg.

Even for a bootleg, this sounds well-worth it.
Good thing X-Mas is coming up then.

I still think (without knowning ofcourse) that this is not a bootleg. Maiden Argentina may have called it "a bootleg release again" because it contains material that, like mentioned, has appeared on bootlegs, like Eddie's Archive did...

Reasons to make me believe this is the real deal:

-It is Region Specific, uncommon for a bootleg, although it *can* happen
-It is a double DVD, also very uncommon for a bootleg
-It is a European release, following the tradition of Maiden DVD's released in Europe first
-It's too complete to be a bootleg, and it contains very very rare clips
-The 2 releases (12wy and LAD) which were released as boots were done by companies that had distribution rights in S. America. That means they had some kind of legal backup. Who in their right mind, in Europe, will make a bootleg with TOTP appearences without having rights to them? only BBC has the rights to them, and I only know of one band they could be given to, IM...

again, I must admit I don't know for sure, but for me, it is a good chance that this is official.

A german metal site reports about this dvd

In fact that most of you don´t know the german language:

The article just tells us what was written at beginning of this topic.

I've looked at the German link mentioned by German Eddie and on this site they, indeed, "talk" about "in the late eighties" and not the early eighties.

I've seen almost all these videos...
I've got them (Live at The Rainbow Concert - The Beast Over Hammersmith) in divx format
And this one, Live At Donnington, I think I have the 92 version..
This would be new: Documentary - Newly filmed History of Iron Maiden (pt1), at least for me...

My sources tell me there might be something coming in November.

I just started looking, however.

As from the list given, it could be an official DVD, but all the clips presented are ones that could have been found by other sources than EMI and Sanctuary...

This DVD story is still very unclear.

Three sources:

Musicmen states that the DVD is called Iron Live and will be released on Nov 22.

Track Records states that it will be called Early Years and that the release date is to be confirmed.

GetReadyToRock states that the DVD will be called World Iron Maiden (live DVD) and will be released on Nov 28.

And remember the rumor that the DVD could be called World Death ?

I found this by only looking 5 minutes on the web. Will look further when I'll have more time on my hands.

Cheers

World refers to where it's going to be released (in that list you can see some releases for the EU...), Iron Maiden is the name of the artist and (live DVD) is what is expected to be released, with a yet to be announced title. And it's also December 28th, not November 28th... Too many pints perhaps, The Saint? tongue.gif
