New Maiden Tribute CD

Posted by Real World on July 26, 2004 @ 17:52

According to wrestling news site thewrestleholics.com, WWE wrestler Chris Jericho and frontman in metal band "Fozzy" will be performing a song for an upcoming Iron Maiden tribute CD [yes, another one]. Chris will apparently be performing the vocals for "The Evil That Men Do". The track will also feature on a bonus DVD released either by the WWE or Jericho's band, Fozzy. No more details are available at the moment but we will keep looking to try and get you a tracklisting and release date.

I heard on the Maiden BB that the Ripper would team up with Dio to do one of the songs.

I've only heard a few covers of Maiden songs I like. Unsurprisingly, most of 'em are bootlegs from the Accident of Birth tour, where Bruce, H, and Tribe of Gypsies covered a bunch of Maiden songs.

Paul Di'Anno's also got some good covers out there of later Maiden stuff. I didn't mind Sonata Arctica's Die With Your Boots On, Opeth didn't do so bad on Remember Tomorrow...

But there should be a law against death and black metal bands covering Maiden.
